I am often intrigued by new technology and how it challenges us with fundamental philosophical questions. The inspiration for this performance comes from the very recent news that the first Robotic citizen of the world named Sophia is recently recognized in Saudi Arabia. With this experimentation I want to remind people of the very question that some of us might forget: what is it that makes us human?
In this performance, I created a simple machine capable of playing a simple game against a human participator: Rock-Paper-Scissors or Shifumi.
